Anna Silk

Anna Silk (born January 31 1974) is an Canadian actor most famously known for her part as Bo in the Showcase TV show Lost Girl. Silk is a Canadian actress born in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Ilkay Silk, and Peter Silk are the grandparents of Silk. Ilkay is a playwright and director. She also is a drama teacher at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna was a child and watched her mother at work and attending practice sessions for plays. Silk created a variety of commercials when she was still in the midst of her childhood. She completed a Bachelor's degree in Arts at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas was active in at least two of the early stage productions, including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk moved from Toronto in November 1999 to Los Angeles California to pursue her career as an actor. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007, when they met during an Actorsworkshop at the Actors' Workshop in Los Angeles. The couple got married in December of 2009 following a civil ceremony. The couple got married in Fredericton on the 10th of April in 2011, they renewed vows after her change of religion to Judaism. Silk Cooperman had her first child Samuel Jerome Cooperman May 2013 Levi Aaron, her second son was born on the 13th of May, in 2016. Silk has played a range of TV roles, including Cassidy Holland from Being Erica. The actress was nominated to win Gemini Awards in 2009 to play this character. Silk was cast in the role as Bo Dennis the succubus on the Canadian television series Lost Girl in 2009. Silk got pregnant in the course of production of the final season episode and broke the news to viewers of the show in a Showcase show's pre-show Season Three special on January 6 2013. Silk revealed via Twitter, on the 20th of June, 2013 that production had begun on Season 4. On 4 June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures confirmed that production had begun for Season 4 of the show. Her portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers with the same gender on Lost Girl was named one of the most popular Television Couples from CNN (Cable News Network) as well as named the top Television Couple in the year 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Silk's popularity has resulted in a large online audience on social media.
